David has lived in Tudor Ward for 35 years. First in Tudor Drive then in Cardinal Avenue and then Durlston Road.

He is married to Rosalind and they have a grown up daughter Catherine and Boogie the Springer Spaniel.

He is a retired civil engineer. After an early career in design with structural engineering consultants he moved to construction becoming a director of a national construction company. He then moved on to environmental consulting, specialising in geothermal energy and landfill remedial schemes as the director as an environmental company.

He has been a Tudor Ward Councillor for the past 20 years and has been involved in local campaigns such as keeping open Latchmere Lane; saving the K5; and more recently the Save Tudor Library Campaign.

He has been Mayor of the Royal Borough and a past chairman of the neighbourhood committee and is at present the deputy leader of the Conservative Group and shadow executive member for Transport and the Environment.

He is a past chairman of governors of St Lukes School ; a local governor of Surbiton High School; a member of the Thames landscape Strategy Members Group; a member of both the Tudor and Richmond Park safer neighbourhood committees; a member of the probation liaison committee; a vice president of the Kingston Horticultural Society and a magistrate.
